Application Process

RWF uses an ONLINE grant application process. Paper applications are not accepted.

Step 1. Phase 1 Application
Applications open March 1 and are due by March 31.

Step 2. Invitation to Submit a Phase II Application
The RWF Grants Committee reviews all Phase I Applications and notifies applicants by May 1 whether or not they have been selected to submit a Phase II Application.

Step 3. Phase II Application
Applicants invited to submit a Phase II Application will complete an online application by the May 31.

Step 4. Site Visit
The RWF Grants Committee reviews all Phase II Applications and schedules site visits with applicants throughout the Summer.

Step 5. Grants Fair
In early June, all Phase II Applicants gather with RWF members to discuss their requests.

Step 6. Selection of Finalists
Once site visits are completed, the Grants Committee selects finalists.

Step 7. Selection of Grantees
During September, the entire RWF membership will vote on the finalists to determine who will receive grants.

Step 8. Award of Grant
In October, finalists are notified of the membership’s decisions. At the Annual RWF Awards luncheon in early November, those awarded grants learn the amounts of their grants. Funding is received once Grant Agreements are signed.

Step 9. Reports and Evaluation
Grantees must submit periodic reports to the RWF as specified in the Grant Agreement.
